Attention All Football Players:

Coach Mehl will be waiting for all of you to turn your football gear, today from 2:00 to 4:30pm. You must turn in all of your “stuff” or you will be charged for it.

GSA:

There will be a GSA meeting today, at lunch in room F-49. Please attend yearbook pictures will be taken.

Key Club:

The Key Club is trying to help homeless teens around Eugene this holiday season with Operation Shoebox. We will try to raise donations like: Small games or gloves for the kids. There are 4 boxes around the school with a supply list attached. We will be doing this until December 7th. Anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated.

Freshmen girls! Are any of you interested in being a part of Mr. Lancer? If you don’t know what that is, come to an informational meeting on Wednesday, November 28th at lunch, in room B-17.

All Club Reps:

There will be a meeting with leadership and all club reps next Tuesday, the 27th. It is mandatory for a member from every club to be present.

Career Center:

Seniors – Planning on applying to OSU? Sign up in the Career Center for the application workshop on Wednesday, November 28th. Make is easy on yourself. Be there.

2nd Trimester Grid & Schedule Info

Churchill students will receive their updated schedules for second trimester on Wednesday, November 21. There are some changes to the master schedule based on staffing and course changes. A copy of the grid is attached.

To change a course, a student should make an appointment with his/her counselor or come before school or during lunch. (It is important that students not miss a current class in order to make a change for next trimester). The last day of fall trimester is Thursday, November 29. The first day of winter trimester is Monday, December 3.

Attention Students Wishing to Make a Schedule Change:

1. Schedule changes will ONLY be made for the second trimester. (Please see your counselor after December 10th for any third trimester schedule changes.)

2. You MUST check the posted schedule grid to see if a class you want to take is available. Any class with an “X” through it is closed and not available to add.

3. Pick up an orange “second trimester schedule change request” form and completely fill it out.

  • List your entire current schedule by class period.
  • List the entire schedule you hope to have.

4. Changes will ONLY be made if space is available and the schedule changes meet graduation requirements.

Ukulele Union:

Aloha Moi! Do you play the ukulele? Do you wish you could play one? We are starting a Ukulele club here at Churchill. We will meet in the band room every Tuesday at lunch. Bring your ukulele and come check us out.

                OSU will be here on Wed. Nov. 28 from 2-3:30pm

They will be here to conduct an application workshop. The students will be walked through the process, and the representative will take the applications with them that day! You can’t beat this deal with a stick. Space is limited, so you must sign up in advance to attend. Call or stop by the career center for more information.

 

Juniors:

The Junior projects have started. Betsy will be coming to your English classes to go over the requirements and deadlines. NOTE:  If you do Not have an English class this trimester you must come in and make an appointment with Betsy.

Seniors:

Graduation is coming up fast! Are you ready? Stop by the career center and make sure you’ve got all your graduation requirements met:

  1. Development of a 4 Year Education Plan and Profile including the Sophomore and Junior Career Center Projects.
  2. Completion of Community Service: 40 hours CHC, 130 hours IHS
  3. Completion of an Extended Application Project (LEAP) which challenges and helps students apply academic and career related knowledge and skills. This activity will be completed during the junior or senior year.

Parents of Seniors: Feel free to contact us any time to check your student’s status. Sorry Seniors, it had to be done.
