AP Testing:

If you will be taking an AP test this May, NOW is the time to register. Sign up for your AP test in the finance office. Full payment of $89.00, or a $20.00 deposit will secure your spot.

Counseling:

Friday is the last day to complete schedule changes for 3rd trimester. All forms must be turned in to counselors by 3:30pm.

West End Theatre

Hey! Come to see the West End Triple Threat tonight at 7:00pm. Come to this fundraiser for our school’s Thespian troupe to go to State. You will see the DSS, Jazz Band, Dance Team, the Break dancing club and much more. Tickets are $3.00 for students and seniors and $5.00 for adults.

Come to Mr. Lancer Bunco Night tonight, 7:00pm in the cafeteria. Tickets on sale for $5.00 if you buy from any of the boys, or $8.00 at the door.

Churchill Track needs you! If you need community service hours and would like to help out at tracks meets, see Julie Stelle in the counseling office to sign up. The first Track meet is Tuesday, March 19th.

4/5 Eugene Fire & EMS Career Day

Eugene Fire & EMS Career Day is Friday, April 5 — Have you ever wanted to be a firefighter? Are you interested in a career in emergency medicine? During this all day event students will see a live burn; learn the job duties of a firefighter and paramedic; see emergency equipment demonstrations; and talk to potential employers and college representatives who specialize in Fire & EMS Careers. Must be at least 15 years old. Permission slips required. See Mary Beth in the School-to-Careers office for forms and more information. Deadline to sign up is Friday, March 22.

Churchill volunteers at KMS — Applications are available at the School-to-Careers office in room C-2 for students wishing to complete their community service hours at Kennedy Middle School.

Track & Field The 2013

Churchill Track & Field Season is almost here. This year we have a total of 4 home meets (March 19th, April 4th, April 16th & May 7th). They say it takes a village to raise a child and the same can be said for running a track meet. We need as much help as possible from both parents and students. Students will receive community service hours for their efforts and parents can gain valuable experience from working at a track meet. For information on sign ups please contact Julie Stelle at the front office anytime between 8am & 4pm Monday through Friday.

Parent Association Education Meeting- School funding! March 12th!

Did you know 4J is facing more budget cuts next year? What will that mean for our school?  All Churchill region parents are invited to hear Joy Marshall from Stand for Children talk about upcoming budget cuts and how parents can make a difference at the state level for our schools.

The meeting will be held at Churchill High School on Tuesday, March 12th at 7:00 p.m. in Room F36.  Please don’t miss this important opportunity

Sophomore Night is Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at 7:30 PM in the CHS auditorium.

Parents and students should plan to attend this important workshop. We will be focusing on the Career Center curriculum, the Sophomore Project, Graduation requirements and opportunities for post high school planning.
