4J SCHOOL VISITATION WEEKS: Jan. 27–31 and Feb. 24–28

Our agreement in 4J is that schools hold school choice events only during these weeks. (Transition events specifically to orient 5th and 8th graders from your neighborhood feeder schools can be held at other times.) The district promotes the school visitation weeks and shares information about your specific events, making this an excellent opportunity to inform prospective students’ families about your unique outstanding program. Many schools offer tours and parent meetings both during the day and in the evening, to make school choice more accessible to working parents. It’s also great to coordinate with other schools in your area to avoid conflicts if you can.

IN-DISTRICT (FOR 4J RESIDENTS) SCHOOL CHOICE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED *ONLINE AT 4J.LANE.EDU/CHOICE. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m., Friday, February 28

Out-of-district (Open Enrollment) applications will be accepted *online at 4j.lane.edu/choice on March 1, 2014. The deadline to apply is 5 pm, Tuesday, April 1, 2014

*Paper applications will not be provided or accepted. Please call 541-790-7553 for computer access and assistance.
