Mr. Lancer:

West Eugene Teen Court:

West Eugene Teen Court will be holding new volunteer training on Thursday from 3:15 to 5:15pm. Volunteer hours will count toward your community service requirement. Snacks will be provided. See the College and Career Center for details.

College and Career Center:

Siuslaw Bank is offering a summer internship to graduating seniors. The deadline to apply is March 7th. See the College and Career Center for details.

AP Spanish:

There will be a meeting for all students interested in taking the AP Spanish exam this May on Wednesday, February 19th in room F-46. The meeting will begin promptly at 3:05 and last until 3:20pm. All interested students need to attend.

The Senior All-Night Grad Party Committee is selling Royal Blue with Churchill logo stadium seats as a fundraiser for the Senior Graduation Party. Tell parents and grandparents that they are high quality with great support. We will be selling them at all of the home basketball games for $45.00. The grads receive $20.00 per/chair sold.

Congratulations to Ariana Carter who has been named a finalist in the National Merit Scholarship. She is one of 8,000 from all 50 states to win this honor!!

They will be for sale this week by the planters and the cafeteria at lunch, and in the student store after school today.

Val-O-Grams will be for sale this week and delivered on Valentine’s Day during 1st or 5th period. Choose to send a message with chocolates, a flower, or even a Sadie Hawkins Dance ticket. Val-O-Grams can be purchased during lunch in the cafeteria and by the planters, or after school in the student store today. Packages range from $1 to $6 dollars. Spread the love this Valentine’s Day!!

Sign Up for CHS AutoDialer Messages Via Text-Message Alert

Churchill High School sends occasional informational emails and voice calls to parents with current contact information in the Synergy student system. Parents now have the ability to receive autodialer messages from Churchill on a mobile device. This service is free, except for standard text messaging rates as determined by your cell phone plan.

Instructions for Subscribing

If you are interested in receiving CHS autodialer messages via a mobile device, you must first do the following:
1. From the SMS-capable telephone where you want to receive the text messages, text the word Join to the number 56360.

If our messaging system finds a match for your phone number in its database, you receive a confirmation message thanking you for joining school alerts.

If our messaging system does not find a match for your phone number in its database, you receive a message that the number could not be found, and you should contact the school to add the number to Synergy student system. After your number has been added, wait at least 24 hours, and then text Join again.

At any time, you can unsubscribe by texting Stop (in Canada, you can also text Arret) to 56360.

2. Create a contact on your phone with the name of your school or school district, or another meaningful name, and the phone number 56360. Then, when you receive a text from this number, you know who is sending it.

Be aware: It is impossible to guarantee text message delivery 100% of the time, and your alert may be delayed or blocked.

Fundraiser: Lancer Stadium Seats

The Senior Grad Committee is selling Royal Blue w/Churchill logo stadium seats as a fundraiser for the Senior Graduation Party. A high quality chair, it provides great back support and bottom cushion for those basketball, volleyball, football games and wrestling matches. We will be selling them at all of the home basketball games for $45 in which $20 goes directly to the graduation party.

You can also order a chair by emailing Teresa Evenson, fundraiser coordinator, at teresa.evenson@comcast.net or calling her at 541-915-4676. Local businesses can also advertise their company or product on the back of the stadium chair for $10 per/chair. Thank you.
