CHURCHILL FRESHMAN UPDATE – 2014

We are looking forward to the stellar freshmen who will be joining us at Churchill High School for the 2014 school year! There are many ways freshmen and their families can be up-to-date and informed about all that is happening at CHS.

CHS Website: www.chs.lane.edu
The website has lots of current information relative to students and parents. Check for bell schedules, grades, announcements, teacher websites, contact information, and much more. FRESHMAN TRANSITION information and forms will be available soon online!

Events Calendar/Enews/Announcements: All known school information is updated regularly on our website. From the homepage, click “See Full Calendar,” “E-Newsletters,” or “Daily Announcements,” etc., to keep current of all CHS happenings.

Teacher/Staff Contacts…
Email: http://www.chs.lane.edu/staff/staff-contact-list/
The best way to connect with teachers and staff is by email. It is our goal that email is checked daily, and responded to promptly. You can find staff email on our website.

Voice Mail…
Phone Numbers: http://www.chs.lane.edu/staff/staff-contact-list/
Every staff member at CHS has a voice mail box. It is our goal that voice mail is checked daily, and responded to promptly.

Auto-Dialer: One great communication tool is our Auto-Dialer System. We distribute information often via phone and email messages. To get this regular communication, make sure your phone/email information is current in our system. Call the registrar to update your information, 541-790-5108.
***If you have a BLOCKED phone number, you will NOT receive autodial or attendance calls***

Attendance: (541) 790-5102
Missed class time is reported home twice daily (morning/afternoon) via the Auto-Dialer System. A generated message will come to the phone number listed for parent/guardian of students. To report a student absence:
Call Attendance Line, (541) 790-5102, or email kearney_k@4j.lane.edu to leave a message with the following information:
• Student’s first and last name (please spell last name)
• Date(s) of absence
• Reason for absence (Ill, appointment, doctor, ortho, etc.)
• Thank you for speaking slowly and clearly 
