If you are planning to dress up for Halloween – remember no masks or anything that will cover your face, no weapons and be sure your costume it’s school appropriate. Be creative and let’s have a fun safe Halloween!

Band:

Big news, congratulations to 3 members of the Churchill Band. Hanna Tam, Victoria Kaiser made The Oregon All-State Band and Victoria Kaiser and Morgan Duxberry were accepted to The Western International Band Clinic.

Bookworm Club:

The Bookworm Club will meet tomorrow at lunch in the Library. Come and share food, fun and books. We are also the sponsors of Oregon Battle of the Books for our school. So come and get some OBOB books too.

Downing Street Singers:

Tonight at 7:00pm, the Downing Street Singers will be presenting a Solo Night. Come hear your classmates sing featured solo pieces ranging Jazz, today’s hits, indie, folk and standards. Dominic Bernardo, Sierra Squires, Amber Giles and Matthew Benson are just four of the singers you can enjoy for the low price of just $3.00. Come and enjoy a delightful hour of music in the auditorium.

Thespian meeting:

There is a Thespian meeting today in the Auditorium at lunch. If you are taking the the trip to Ashland this weekend with the Thespians, your are required to attend.

Churchill’s Digital School Newspaper “THE WIN” and “C.A.L.M.” Churchill Arts and Literary Magazine are seeking submissions as our first posting goes live. We are seeking a sports reporter, a photographer, Op-Ed writers, essays, short short stories, poetry, humor and comics. Send material to thewincalm@gmail.com or hand deliver to the WIN INBOX in the West End/Choir Room.

International Study Abroad Fair:

Would you like to study in France, or host a student from China in your home? All students and parents are invited to the International Study Abroad Fair tonight at 7:00pm in the Sheldon cafeteria. Meet representatives from a wide variety of study abroad organizations and learn about travel and hosting opportunities. For more information come to the IHS office.

Congratulations:

The West End Music Department is proud to say congratulations to the four students being named to the Oregon All-State Honor Choir.  It’s awesome to have a representation from each grade.  Congratulations to Freshman Ely Cleland, sophomore Jessica Searl, junior Anthony Carter and senior Carly Walker.

Downing Street Singers:

Hey Churchill, I’m Kassidy Benson from the alto section of Churchill’s premier a cappella group, the Downing Street Singers. Stop by Thursday night at 7:00pm in the auditorium and you will hear me singing “Sigh No More” by Jess Whedon. It’s only $3.00 at the door. So please show your support by attending our annual fall solo night.
