11/3 News from the School-to-Careers Office

Calling all aspiring scientists, engineers, doctors, and technology whizzes!

Students in grades 9-11 who are interested in career as science, medicine, engineering or technology should come to the Apprenticeships in Science and Engineering (ASE) summer internship information session in the STEM building on Wednesday, January 28th at 7 pm. ASE matches scientists, engineers and technology innovators with smart students like you for eight week internships over the summer. ASE is a great way to improve your college application, and students can earn school credit and a $1,000 stipend! Senior Day(s) of the LEAP and other projects

Seniors who need to turn in their Lancer Extended Application Project (LEAP) contract or bring their completed LEAP packets for an interview and sign off will have the opportunity on Nov. 12 th , 13 th , 19 th and 20 th . Drop-in interviews will be open before school, at lunch, and after school. Seniors who have complet ed their other career related projects — formerly known as Sophomore and Junior Projects — may drop in on those days too.

SAT Testing

The next SAT test is Saturday, November 8 th . Report to Churchill’s main gate at 7:45 a.m. Bring two No. 2 pencils ( no mechanical pencils allowed) and a calculator with extra batteries, and snacks to keep up your energy.
