Poetry Contest:

Calling all Poets! The Churchill Poetry Contest is still accepting entries.  Submit your poem by the deadline, tomorrow afternoon—and fill out the yellow entry form.

School-to-Careers:

Lane Community College Placement testing in reading comprehension and writing  will be tomorrow at 8:00am in the STEM building conference room.  The testing will be followed by a math placement  study session at 9:00am.  Please meet at the front entrance of the STEM building.  You must have your “L” number.  See Mary Beth in the STEM building office if you need an “L” number.

Seniors:

Seniors, Honor’s Diploma applications are now available in the College and Career Center.  If you have not already submitted an application and all your community service logs, please do so by May,11th.

Asian American Youth Leadership Conference:

Do you identify as Asian American?  Do you have Asian heritage?  are you interested in Asian Culture?  Then you might like to go to this year’s Asian American Youth Leadership Conference. Please contact Miiko Suzuki or Kevin Summerfield to let them know that you are interested no later than this Friday.  There is limited space available so sign up right away.

Leadership:

Class elections are coming up!  Do you want your voice heard at Churchill?  Do you have motivation to work on Homecoming, Prom, and other major school activities?  Then run for your class office.  Mandatory meeting in room B-17 this Friday if you are interested.  Open to all Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors.

Grad Party Night:

If you are planning on going to the Graduation All Night Party please go to the planters at lunch Wednesday, Thursday or Friday to pre-order your T-shirt and buy your Grad Night Party tickets.

Grad Night Party Fundraiser:

Come to Papa’s Pizza tonight for a Grad Night Party Fundraiser and we will receive 50% of the value of the food you purchase.  You also have the choice of purchasing Fundraiser bucks that are good for all future purchases.  These bucks will earn 25% of their value for the grad party.  Beverages and delivery orders are excluded.  You must bring a fundraiser flyer with you. (they will not be given out at Papa’s).

Powder Puff:

Junior or senior girls wanting to play powderpuff, there is a Mandatory meeting at lunch today in room B-17.  Application and all information will be given then.

Track:

We need volunteer help at tomorrow’s track meet.  See Coach Lemay or sign up in the College and Career Center.

  • 5:30pm, Girls Lacrosse with Marist at South Eugene Turf Filed  Release at 3:00pm
