2014-15 Year-End Wrap Up

Tuesday, June 9th, 2015

AP Literature:

Students who signed up for AP English Literature need to pick up the summer homework. Copies of the assignments are in the front office and in Mr. Stewart’s room H-1.

Library:

All books must be returned before you leave school unless you have been approved for summer checkout.

Front Office Closed:

The front office will be closed until 10:00 on Thursday morning.

Volleyball:

If you are interested in playing Volleyball next year, come to the front office and pick up an informational sheet.

School-to-Careers:

Work Study Positions are available. See Mary Beth in the STEM building office for details.

Clean Lockers:

Remember to clean out your locker and PE locker by tomorrow afternoon. If you don’t, you risk the chance of your locker being cleaned out and thrown away. Also, the lost and found will be cleaned out Wednesday afternoon, please come and see if we have what you are missing.

Summer Lunch:

Summer is coming, and we want you to eat healthy while school is out. 4J School District serves free meals to students over the summer. There is no income requirement or registration. Breakfast will be served at Churchill from 8:30 to 9:15am and lunch will be served from 12:00 to 1:00pm.

SERC:

South Eugene Rowing Club’s Learn-To-Row Summer Camp is fill up fast! The camp runs July 20th through the 31st at Dexter Lake, and is open to all 8th thru 12th graders from the 4J area. For more information go to southeugenerowingclub.org.

AARPSA at LCC:

The 2015 African American Rites of Passage Summer Academy at Lane Community College is an intense three-week program designed to address the cultural, career, academic and social needs of high school and middle school African American and Multicultural students of African descent with the history, literature, traditions and folklore of the experience of African people in western civilization.  If interested, see Shannon Roseta, the 11th and 12th grade counselor.

Football:

All athletes going to Bend 7 on 7 passing tournament, we will meet today in Coach K’s room at lunch for more details.

Day 2 baseball tryouts are today from 4:00 to 6:30pm.

Drivers Ed:

Drivers Ed starts Tuesday, July 7th from 9:00am to Noon and runs every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until July 29th.  The cost is $275.00.  Pick up flyers in the front office.  You must have a Oregon Provisional Permit to register.  For more information see flyers.

To all seniors – Remember to turn in a Final Transcript Requests.  These will be sent out mid to late June.  Colleges need these showing graduation and final grades before you can start school in the fall.
