Creative Writing Club:

If you are interested in creative writing come and join us. We meet Monday’s after school in the library. Bring your favorite pen or pencil. See you there.

Leadership:

Freshmen, have you thought of a way to help our school and learn leadership skills? There is a mandatory meeting for all interested on Wednesday at lunch in room B17. Applications will be available then.

Girls Lacrosse:

Today after school, there’s a girls lacrosse practice. Meet behind the gym near the turf. We have gear if you don’t have it.

Job Opportunity:

Are you looking for a part time job? Are you 18 or almost 18? Well, Little Caesars on Seneca Road is hiring. Bring your resume to the store and ask for the hiring manager.

College and Career Center:

A representative from the University of Portland will be here today at 1:00pm in the College and Career Center. This is a good time to ask questions and get valuable information about a college you are considering.

Speech and Debate Club starts Tuesday after school in room J29. Come and learn how to use a argument and strategy in tournament debates. There are a number of group and individual events. The first practice is Saturday, September 26th at the University of Oregon. Contact Mrs. Alderman if you have any questions.

NHS:

Mandatory NHS meeting at lunch in the Choir room if you want to be a publicity or communications liaison. Bring a brief personal statement please.

College and Career Center:

An admissions representative from the University of Portland will be in the College and Career Center September 21st at 1:00pm. If you are interested in this college this meeting is for you.

Downing Street Singers:

Attention all students wishing to be in the Downing Street Singers! Auditions will be held today during lunch and after school in the Choir room. All you need to do is sign up on the choir room door and come ready to sing 30 seconds of a song of your choosing.

Work Study Jobs:

Work Study jobs at local schools and in our downtown offices are still available for juniors and seniors. Please bring your resumes to the front office and ask for it to be put in Mary Beth’s mailbox.

Volunteer Opportunity:

Attention juniors and senior. Do you need volunteer hours? Twin Oaks Elementrary School is looking for one or two volunteers for their 4th and 5th grade classrooms. Also, Williamette Christian Center needs a volunteer needs a volunteer on Wedensday evenings in their nurseriy. Please see Mary Beth in the STEM building office for more information.

All students need a student ID card. To get your card, please see Kevin in the Multicultural Center during first period, or Wednesday mornings from 8:15 to 9:15.

Electronic devices should not be out or on in class unless your teacher has given explicit permission. If the electronic device is out, the teacher will take it until the end of the period.

The Library welcomes you to the 2015-16 school year. Come in to find a good book, study, and get help with research. Please bring your ID card to check out books in the library.

If you qualify for free and reduced meals, your breakfast and lunch are now free.
