Work Study 2015-2016 resumes accepted

The School-to-Careers office is accepting resumes for Work Study 2015-2016 positions. Students must be juniors or seniors and meet the following prerequisites: a minimum 2.0 G.P.A., a minimum of unexcused absences, and on track for graduation, and have at least one free period. This course offers paid, on-the-job training in one of several 4j District offices or schools.  Students will learn entry-level, transferable office skills that could include operating a variety of office equipment such as multi-line phones, copiers, laminators, and fax machines; and also training in customer service, confidentiality, and Microsoft Excel.  This class is graded by number of hours worked, supervisor evaluations, and course work and testing from the Job Savvy text.  A maximum of 3.0 credits is allowed. Enrollment is dependent on hiring. These are competitive positions.
