GSA

There will be a short meeting at lunch today in room F­49 to rehearse for the Spring assembly tomorrow (Friday). All GSA members interested in participating are encouraged to be there.

Marine Biology Field Trip

Attention former Marine Bio students. If you want to go on the Aquarium trip you must see Mrs. Crews today during lunch or after school.

Students

Take advantage of your free period this term and start earning your community service hours! Applications for volunteering at Kennedy or another Churchill region school are now available outside the STEM office or on the community service wall in the the Career Center. Please turn in your applications to Mary Beth in the School-­to­-Career office in the STEM building by Friday.

There is one part­-time paid position open in the Churchill cafeteria for Trimester 3. Students must meet the following qualifications: have a minimum 2.0 G.P.A., a minimum of unexcused absences; be on track for graduation; have at least one morning free period; and be at least 16 years old.  Interested students can drop off their resumes with Mary Beth in the School­to­Career office in the STEM building by Friday.

IHS Art Gala

The IHS Art Gala is this Friday April, 1st. This is a formal event in which artists from IHS can showcase their visual and performance art. There will be music, film, beat boxing and a lip sync battle…this event is open to the community. Doors open at 6 and the event ends at 8:30. Tickets will be on sale in the IHS office and at the door the evening of the event. Adults are $7, students are $5, and children and seniors are free.

AP students

The absolute last date and time to pay at least the $20 deposit for the AP test­­ and ensure that your test is ordered­­ is this MONDAY, APRIL 4, at 1:15 p.m. Please pay sooner if possible. To be clear, if payment is not received by this date, a test will not be ordered, and you will not be able to take the AP test. ­ All payments can be made to Katy in the counseling office.

Lancer Pageant

Don’t forget to get donuts form Dizzy Deans all day today. Come support the Lancer Pageant. You must bring a flyer from around the school.

Library

All textbooks must be returned or renewed this week to avoid late charges.

Bus Passes

April Bus Passes are now available. See Ken in the finance office, before school, at lunch, and after school.

Leadership Seniors

Students! In order to participate in Leadership’s Dance­A­Thon, please come to an informational meeting in Mrs. Wilgus’s room, B­17, today at lunch.

Gravitational Waves Presentation

Did you hear the recent news about the discovery of gravitational waves? Wondering what a gravitational wave is? Come during first period on Wednesday, April 6th to hear a presentation from the University of Oregon physicists who have been working on this research! Everyone is welcome but you must have a field trip form filled out in order to miss your first period class and attend. See Mr. Munger for the form and return it by Friday, April 1st.
