Leadership

Students! Leadership is hosting a Halloween Costume contest today at the planter during lunch.  The categories include Spookiest, Funniest, Most Unusual, and Most Creative. Come by for a chance to win a free gift card!

Churchill Football Players

Equipment check in and locker clean out will be this week. Freshman and Sophomores turn in all Football equipment after school Tuesday, November 1st.     Juniors and Seniors turn in all Football equipment after school on Wednesday, November 2nd.  You will not receive your new Churchill Football apparel until you have checked in all Football equipment and have cleaned out Football locker. If you cannot make it, communicate with Coach Robinson about alternate plans.

Halloween Costume Rules

Students are encouraged express themselves by wearing Halloween costumes. Costumes must follow the 4J district and CHS dress codes as outlined in the 4J Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook and the Churchill Student Handbook.

  • Costumes must not distract from learning.
  • No masks may be worn.
  • No weapons of any kind may be brought to school, including any fake, toy, or prop weapons.
  • Finally, be creative and have fun!

School to Career

Lane Community College Placement tests in reading, writing, and math will be offered tomorrow, Wednesday, beginning at 7:45 a.m. in STEM 118. Seniors interested in attending LCC will need to bring a photo ID and their LCC “L number”. Please see Mary Beth in the School-to-Career office if you have questions.

Students interested in working in the trades–electrical, plumbing, sheet metal, and carpentry–there will be an Open House for the apprenticeship Trades Academy tonight from 6-7:30 pm at the Sheet Metal Training Institute.  For more information about the academy see Mary Beth in the School-to-Career office in the STEM building or pick up a flyer located on the table in front of the School-to-Career office in the STEM building or the Career Center.

Career & College Day

All students: there is no late start tomorrow!  It is Career & College Day. Do not go to your first period class.  Check the rosters today as they have changed and have been updated.  The new rosters are posted in 3 locations: the front office, cafeteria, & library.

You must bring your school ID and a calculator and pencil for testing.
