Big news: Full schedules for 10th grade

Dear 10th grade families,

We have great news for 10th grade families! Starting next trimester, sophomores at all 4J comprehensive high schools will have full course schedules.

Eugene School District 4J is adding high school teacher staffing for a top priority, providing full schedules for all students in 10th grade as well as 9th grade. Churchill counselors and admin will work with the 10th graders to add class sections that will provide meaningful learning experiences for every student in every period.

Counselors and admin will be working with students and making these schedule changes starting immediately to ensure every 10th grade student has five classes. Schedules will be available for review by December 1. In most cases the change will be adding a class in a period that was previously unscheduled. In some cases, your student’s schedule may change in other periods.

In rare cases, families may not wish their child to have a full schedule. If this is the case for you, please return this form to your student’s counselor by Nov. 28. If you have questions, please contact your student’s counselor or assigned administrator.
