Powder Puff

Powder Puff is Friday at 6:00pm on the turf. Come watch the Jrs. and Srs. battle for the title. Entry into the game is $5 or 5 canned foods. This is a charity event so bring those canned foods for Food for Lane County.

Club Carnival

Club Carnival is Friday on the turf. We have an extended lunch, free BBQ for all students in the quad, inflatable games, dunk tank, and more. Come join this last Churchill event.

Key Club

Need volunteer hours? Come to Key Club today in Rm H8 during lunch.

Friday is the last day to sign up for walking partners. Remember, both partners must be cleared to walk. A partner will be randomly assigned to you if you do not complete a walking partner slip, or if you or your partner are not cleared to walk.

Last assembly is Friday. Surprise appearances, Mr. B and the Lance, games and entertainment not to be missed. Hope you are all there.

There is still time to purchase your Grad Party tickets. Tickets will be sold all week during lunch in the student lounge. Don’t miss out on all the fun: cash walk, casino tables, horse racing, rock climbing wall, basketball, swimming, and more. All you can eat and drink. Cost is $35 and includes a free t-shirt and cinch sack.

Sweeney Todd

Opening night for Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is Saturday at 7:30pm in the auditorium. Sunday shows are 2pm & 7:30pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. You can pre-buy your tickets during lunch at the rock. Please join us for a tale of revenge, love, and some questionable pies.

Churchill Football Players

If you are planning on playing football next fall or are thinking about playing, this is a reminder that Spring football starts on Monday, June 5th after school from 4-6 PM. Practices will take place Monday June 5th through Friday June 9th after school. There are no other sport conflicts, so if you are planning on playing football in the fall, you are expected to be at Spring practice everyday. If you have questions, please contact Coach Robinson.

Yearbooks

Yearbooks have arrived and will be ready for pick-up next week. You must be on the paid list to pick up a book. Please see Ken in the finance office to pay for your yearbook right away.

Music Club

All members of the talent show must come to the choir room during lunch to give Emily Westlund their names spelled correctly and their song choice. If you cannot attend and you don’t reach out to either Groberg or Emily you will not appear in the Talent Show.

Presale tickets are on sale today at the planters & the rock at lunch for only $5. This is the cheapest the tickets can be purchased as they are $10 at the door. Opening night is Saturday, June 3. Doors open at 7:30pm and performance begins at 8pm in the auditorium. Sunday shows are 2pm & 8pm.

Congrats

Congratulations to the CHS Boys Varsity Golf Team for winning first place in the Academic All State Award for boys golf. These boys had a combined GPA of 3.87 to place as the highest GPA of any boys golf team 1A through 6A. Way to represent Lancer PRIDE.

Lacrosse

Come cheer on the Lancer Boys Lacrosse team as they begin their Cascade Cup playoff run against the Hermiston Bulldogs tonight at 6:30pm on the Churchill turf. Please note: OHSLA Rules require that Admission is charged to enter the event. Admission prices are $8 for adults and $5 for students.

School to Career Opportunities

Are you a young woman interested in gaining confidence and leadership skills? Would you like to learn what firefighting is all about? Eugene Springfield Fire is hosting a free fire camp for high school aged young women. Pick up an application in the School-to-Career office or the College and Career Center. It would be a great way for a junior to get their LEAP requirement finished. See Mary Beth in the School-to-Career office for more information.

Have you ever wanted to be a firefighter or police officer? Are you interested in a career in emergency medicine? Have you considered a career in emergency dispatch? Then sign up for the Fire & EMS field trip and pick up your permission forms at the School-to-Career office in the STEM building.
