Art Club

Art club begins today at lunch in B1.

Churchill Library

Just in time for Halloween, the Churchill library has new horror books and scary stories. Come by and check them out! Also, if you borrowed books weeks ago, stop in and renew them or return them so you don’t rack up overdue fines.

Yearbook editors – Important meeting today at lunch in C5.

ASU

ASU meets during lunch today in H23. Everyone welcome. ASU will be selling mochi ice cream at Club Fair tomorrow for $1 each.

Bus Passes

November Bus passes are now available in the Finance Office.

Hack Club

Hack Club meets tomorrow after school in STEM 118.

Black Student Union

BSU meets today in J9 at lunch. All are welcome no matter gender, race, or sexual orientation.

Seniors

Graduation cap and gown orders are due to Miners Graduate Services on Friday, November 3. Extra order packets are available at the front office or order online at www.minersgrad.com.

Community Service Opportunities

Twin Oaks Harvest Party – Friday, October 27th at Twin Oaks Elementary. Come to the college and career center for more info.

Parenting Now – Looking for student volunteers for 3 hours a week. Come to the college and career center for more info.

Olive Plaza Apartments – Olive Plaza Apartments are looking for entry level reception, customer service, and office administrative duties. Monday through Friday ~ 8:00 am – 1:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm/ these shifts can be split up. Come to the college and career center for more info.

McCornack Elementary – Recesses/lunch help.  Get a free lunch!! Two shifts: 9:25-10:10 and 11:05-12:25. Come to the college and career center for more info.

Homecoming

Homecoming is Saturday and the game and assembly are tomorrow. Ticket sales are today and tomorrow at the planters before school, during lunch and after school. Tickets are $10 with ASB, $12 without ASB, and $15 at the door.   

Club Fair

Club Fair is tomorrow at lunch in the courtyard. Come experience what Churchill has to offer.

Leadership

Leadership is hosting a Halloween Costume contest on Tuesday, Oct. 31 during lunch at the rock. The categories are: Spookiest, Funniest, Most Unusual, Most Creative, & Most Original. Come dressed in your best costume for a chance to win a prize.

Eugene Ski Team

Any and all eligible Eugene area high school students are welcome to join the Eugene Ski Team. Visit the team website at southski.org and click on “Forms & Docs” for info & registration forms or contact the team email at eugenehsskiteam@gmail.com. There will be an info meeting tonight at 8pm in the upstairs at Market of Choice on 29th St.

Sports

Thursday:  Churchill girls JV soccer vs. North Eugene on GRASS at 4pm.  (Note this is a time change due to sunset at 611pm on that day.) (Release at 245pm); Churchill Boys Varsity Soccer game at 6pm vs. Silverton (Play-In game)  Turf available at 5pm for warm-up. (no early release);  Girls Varsity has turf practice from 4-5pm;  JV Football at North Bend:  Release at 1230pm/Depart at 115pm.

Friday:  Churchill Varsity Girls soccer vs. South Albany at 3pm.  Turf available at 2pm for warm-up.  Locker rooms available at 130pm for changing;  Varsity Football vs. Crater at 7pm:  no early release

Saturday, October 28th: No athletic events.  Homecoming festivities galore!
