Community Service Opportunities

High Hope Haven is a nonprofit looking for help updating their website to reach a new level of stability and reflect current business practice.  The website is www.havenoregon.org and is implemented under WordPress.  

Lane County Fire District invites youth to become a volunteer firefighter and/or emergency medical responder. There are 5 neighborhood fire stations in the district to include Crow, Elmira, Noti, Veneta, and Walton. Our slogan and mission “Neighbors Volunteering to Help Neighbors” is made possible only through community-wide volunteer support.

Adventure Children’s Museum is looking for help at the admissions desk and gift shop. You may intern as graphic designers, exhibit designers, read stories, and more.

A Child for Every Family – Many types of volunteer opportunities exist including website, blogging, assistants, and events, etc.

Eugene Science Center is recruiting for summer camp counselors interested in working with children as a way of fulfilling community service or internship requirements over the summer.  Counselors are needed for ten weeks of science camps for rising 1st-6th graders.

Come to the college and career center and have a look at the Community Service wall for more info on any of these opportunities.

Oregon Tradeswomen’s Career Fair

All Churchill girls are invited to sign up for the Oregon Tradeswomen’s Career Fair on Friday, May 18. Sign up for this all-day field trip to Portland to learn about careers in the trades. Lunch is provided. Sign up sheets are outside the School-to-Career office and at Career Center counter.
