The Outsiders by the Drama Class

Today, 5th period will be the final presentation of The Outsiders by the Drama class. Teachers wishing to bring their students should plan on having their classes in the theater about 15 minutes into the period.

Congratulations

Eight Churchill artists have had pieces selected to be shown in the Maude Kerns gallery for the Mayor’s Teen Art Show in the Fall. Congratulations to Hazel Mesman, Melodie Nix, Delaney Starr, Tomarrow Taylor, Lexa Lewis, Allison Prince, Cassie Taylor, and Nicole Hampton for the honor.

Community Service Opportunities

McCornack Carnival ~ Volunteers Needed for McCornack Carnival this Thursday, June 15, starting at 5:30pm. Go to the McCornack website to sign up or email mccornackvolunteercoordinator@gmail.com

Parenting Now! ~ Parenting Now! is looking for long term volunteers to assist with childcare during parent education classes.  This is a commitment of 3 hours one day or night a week for 10 weeks.  Classes will begin in late September to early October and will continue through part of December.  This is a great opportunity for volunteers who want to learn more about early childhood education.  We will have a class going on everyday in the fall, including weekends and evenings, which is great for those with high school or college schedules. We will also have a Crecer group for Spanish speaking families in the fall and are looking for Spanish speaking high school students to assist with childcare for that class as well. YMCA ~   You’re never too old for camp and we are looking for youth entering grades 9-12 to come volunteer with our summer camps as a Counselor in Training. Not only will this allow you to embrace your inner child and have a great time, you will be gaining valuable leadership skills, learning to create and lead engaging activities for children, and making memorable experiences for our community. For more information come to the College and Career Center and check out the opportunities board.

You must be cleared on the graduation checklist to participate in the graduation ceremony. Any senior not cleared on the checklist will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony. Talk to your counselor today!

Cap and gowns are here. Please come pick yours up in the front office today.

If you need a final transcript sent to the college or university you are going to in the fall, request them before graduation to prevent delays. See Sheree if you have any questions.

Today is the last day to buy your Grad Party tickets. Don’t miss your chance to win cash prizes, all you can eat food, Dutch Bros, basketball, swimming, rock climbing wall, casino tables, and more. Prizes given out every 10 minutes. Cost is $35/$20 reduced lunch. Scholarships available. Tickets sold in the student lounge at lunch.
