Save the School Money, Get the Newsletter
Online!
Churchill High School values the ability to communicate
information with its community. In the past, newsletters have been
mailed to all Churchill parents and several community members, thus
we spend over $15,000 per year on printing and distributing newsletters.
This number does not include staff and volunteer time spent in delivery,
assembly and mail preparation.
Two years ago, due to district budget cuts and an
increasing demand to reduce our paper consumption, our monthly newsletters
began to be published online. Parents and students are able to view
past issues and print only the sections desired. This allows all
members of our community who have internet access to view the G’Lancer
online. The link to the G’Lancer newsletter is located on
our home page at:
www.chs.lane.edu
This is where you can save the school money...
We can set you up on a listserve where you will receive
an email each month when the new G’Lancer is posted on the
website. When you are subscribed to the listserve(s), you may also
receive emails with other pertinent notices or information from
the school — as we value the ability to communicate information
with our community in a timely manner, there are other reasons for
us to have parents’ email addresses. We are able to email
parents with up-to-date information about events and happenings
around their student’s specific grade level, as well as general
school happenings. A database of parents’ email addresses
will enable us to communicate with you in a faster, less expensive
way. We are requesting that all parents either give us a call at
687.3421, or send an email to nelson_ka@4j.lane.edu,
with the following information to assist us in putting together
our database. We will not release your email address to any non-CHS-related
organization. Please also remember that if you change your email
address, please include us on your change-of-email notification!
Thank you for your help!
