Churchill High School Activities
At Churchill, sometimes an opening in your busy school life may
leave you with a bit of free time. This is why our Churchill High
Webpage lists a few permissable school activities that can take
your mind off the long and stressful days. Remember, these activities
are just options, feel free to participate in any regulated activity
you enjoy.
Footbag (A.k.a.) Hacky Sack:
At and in the coutyard, you may witness some students
participating in an activity commonly known as hacky sack. Dubbed
Footbag by worldwide competitors and events, this game involves
kicking a "hacky sack" and attempting to complete moves
and/or hits while not dropping it at the same time. In 'Freestyle',
or the system of kicking where you complete moves and combos without
dropping the bag, players gather around in a circle and pass the
bag back and forth.
You can commonly find participants of Hacky Sack in
the center court yard, if not available, feel free to practice on
your own. Besides being joined by multiples of other people, the
more you practice, the better you'll get!
Anime Club:
The anime (animation) club hosted here at Churchill,
is a club which involves Japanese cartooning, where fans watch animes
and talk about what they liked about them. In the club, many films
are showed for the enjoyment of the fans, an activity more and more
are comming to enjoy. In the duration of the club, food and drinks
are sometimes provided. Also, different movies and requests are
a final portion of the club. For more information, talk to Debra.
