plus you can write your own notes for each student.
EGP can include some student test scores and CUM information.
You can use EGP to create seating charts and track student

Getting Started Basics
- Generate Class Report from eSIS and Convert
- Go to Lodi
Soderholms page to generate class lists that
EGP can import. Use the convert window, mentioned
in Lodi's page, to create a "class###.txt"
file for each class.(where the ### should be some
different identifier for each class)
- Create a filter for EGP and Import the Class
Report.
EGP needs to know how to translate information from
eSIS. To do this you need to setup a filter. This
has to be done just once. Please follow the following
steps carefully.
- Start the EGP program.
- Select "Create a new Gradebook"
- In the window that appears select a folder that
you'll remember where the data will be stored in.
Perhaps My Documents/Classes.
- Select a name for the file. Click "OK"
- A new "GUIDE ME" window appears. Select
"Import Classes".
- Click on the "Other Formats"
tab on the small "Imports" window that
appears.
- Click on the "New Format" button
at the bottom of the "Imports" window.
- Click in the "Name of Format" field
and type "ESIS" in the "New
Format" window that appears
- Double click on each of the following "Fields
Available" in the left column. Make sure you
do this in order. - On a Mac click copy for each
of these.
- "Last Name, First Name"
- "ID"
- "Student Custom 1 (Custom 1)"
- "Student Custom 2 (Custom 2)"
- "Gender(*)"
- Now you should have a list of the above 5 items
in the "Fields in this Format" column.
- Click on the "Gender(*)" item
in the "Fields in this Format" column.
Then click the "Edit(*)" button
below it.
- In the new window that appears, click on the downward
facing arrow that is next to the "Tab"
text. Select "Line Feed (LF)"
from the pull down menu that appears.
- Click on the "Done" button.
- The edit window disappears.
- Click on the "Done" button
on the "edit Format" window.
- The "Format" window should go away and
the "Import" window should now have an
ESIS filter. You're finished with the filter.
NOW IMPORT:
- Click on the eSIS filter that you've
just created. It should highlight.
- Click "Next".
- Select a name for the class and a term in the
new window that appears.
- Click "OK"
- A "Open the Import file" window appears.
Navigate to the "class###.txt"
file that you created using Lodi's convert program.
- Select the file that corresponds to the class
that you're making and click "Open".
- An "Import Preview" window appears.
