Introduction A brief overview of why the information in the level is important.
Task A scenario or "story problem" for you to solve. Even if you've seldom used a computer, you might want to try to complete the task before you move on. You may be surprised at how easily you can figure out how to solve a problem. On the other hand, some things are not at all easy to figure out on your own. That's what the hints and how-to are for.
Hints Hints supply you with ideas for things to try and words that might be useful to search for in a Help file or on the Internet.
How-to How-to has a click-by-click description of how to perform the activities set forth in the task. There is often more than one way to accomplish a task on the computer. How-to shows you one way, the one we think is a combination of the easiest to remember and the most powerful way of accomplishing the task.
Compare This section asks you to explain how you accomplished a task and compare it to other ways that are available. You'll often see a Pros / Cons table.
Test Tests will be brief quizzes about material in the Introduction.
