Lesson 11: CBSS Note-taking 9-10 (Intro)
The first lesson is about rooting for notes. This is a great
strategy for all the times you have to read something and really
understand it. It works with chapters and articles that have different
sections with their own headings. It may seem different, at first,
to sit down to the computer and type for reading, but you'll be
amazed at how fast and well you can learn by using this CBSS.
You'll want to take these kinds of notes every time you read something
important. It's so nice to have a way to learn from reading!
The second lesson is called focused notetaking. Sometimes --
lots of times in school -- you need to read something (or watch,
or listen) and not learn ALL of it, but FOCUS on only certain
parts, or certain issues or questions. At these times, the CBSS
to use is Focused Notetaking. It will help you, so learn it and
use it!!!
