Lesson 12: CHS Search Strategies (Task)

When you click on a link in the question box a new window will open up.

You will locate the answers to the questions in this new window. Then write your answers in a word processor like Wordpad.

After you have all of your answers you will copy and paste them into an e-mail you can send to your instructor. (You may want to send a copy to yourself using the cc: field).

You type them in a word processor first so you can save them as you go and not lose work that you have done. be sure to save early, save often.

1. What is the main difference between subject and keyword searching?

Hint: If you are trying to figure out how to answer these questions and complete the task read the text above the question.

2. List the three Boolean Operators here and briefly explain what each one does?

3. Come up with your own example (not one shown in "Hints") of a phrase search.
