Today you will finish up the brainstorming lessons and then move on to a new strategy—Self-testing.

One of the most important elements of studying is VOCABULARY. To learn something, you really must understand every word that you come across when you read or hear about it. Also, research shows that a large percentage of the questions on tests relate just to the vocabulary of the topic.

Here is a strategy for learning unfamiliar words and what they mean. It is one of the best uses of the computer around! When you have words to learn, find out how easy it is to make a list, with definitions, pictures, and hints that you can use to quiz yourself using hide-and-show.
