LANCER LIBRARY
The Mission of the Lancer Library is to support the curriculum of
Churchill High School by providing access to high-quality, current,
and appropriate information resources and working to ensure that
all students, teachers, and staff are effective users of ideas and
information.
The Lancer Library has professional Teacher-Librarians
The library has two half-time professional teacher-librarians to
work with staff on collaboratively teaching specific units and research
skills. These skills are vital in this “Information Age.”
The library also has a full-time library assistant and textbook
specialist to help staff and students with their textbooks.

Textbooks
The Library is where the circulation of textbooks is managed. Students
should be aware that textbooks are checked out in their name and
passed out in class. Students are responsible for their own textbooks
and should check for their name in the front of the text. Return
textbooks to the library when the class is finished.
The Lancer Library: Here to serve you!
The library, located off the courtyard, is at the heart of the school.
Come in and find the resources you need for your classes and enjoyment.
The library is open anytime for drop in computer access and research
help. At school or at home, find resources online from the Library
Homepage.
Curl up with a good book! Find nonfiction and reference books in
the library. The fiction book section wraps around the west end
of the library. Check out the displays of new and timely books for
some “good reads”. Look up books using the online catalog,
LibNet. Ask either librarian for help with using LibNet, the online
catalog. We are always open to suggestions for new books!
The library also subscribes to numerous general interest magazines
and newspapers that are available daily in the library for reading.
Online Resources
The library is a portal to online databases, newspapers, encyclopedias
and web resources specifically designed for Churchill classes. You
can access these from outside the school using passwords available
