PLANNING GUIDE
The intent of this publication is to provide students and their
parent(s)/guardian(s) with information that will lead to successful
completion of high school and a successful post-high-school transition
for every student. This publication includes brief descriptions
of all recommended courses and a broad selection of elective offerings
that are considered valuable experiences for all students.
Please use the publication information wisely. Give careful thought
to your plans and goals, your interests and the classes in which
you have previously been successful. In short, plan around your
strengths. In addition to required courses, select electives that
have meaning for successful future life plans. The counseling staff
is available to aid in program planning. Students are encouraged
to take advantage of this help to formulate the most appropriate
program to meet individual needs.
As you Forecast
Read course descriptions carefully. Discuss choices with teachers,
counselor and parents. Complete the required forms promptly, legibly
and completely. Be sure to ask questions if clarification is needed.
Remember that your four-year plan (sample on next page) must include
the graduation requirements, or you may apply for an individualized
plan.
