Choir Auditions

Auditions for Concert Choir and Downing Street Singers will be happening during lunch next week MondayFriday in the choir room. Please prepare a 30 second section of a song of your choosing. Current CHS students may sign up on the choir room door to secure their audition spot. For incoming CHS students, please email Mr. Steinberger at steinberger_j@4j.lane.edu to set up a time to audition.

Note: incoming students do not have to audition during school hours.

Seniors, Miners Grad Services will be in the student lounge today through lunch to hand out the graduation announcements that you ordered.

March and Vigil

There will be a march and vigil for Trans Justice on Saturday at 3pm outside the old Federal building on 7th Avenue in honor of the lives of black and indigenous trans women who have been murdered or lost to suicide. Please see Iris Seager in room F55 for more information.

Seniors, bring your parents to Graduation Information Night this Thursday at 6:30pm in the cafeteria. We’ll talk about everything you need to know about graduation and activities like the senior breakfast and grad party.

Spaceflight Experiment

Students who participated in the Spaceflight experiment proposals and the spaceflight patch design contest may pick up their achievement certificates and flight patch in the front office.

Come get your car washed at Churchill by the Lancer Pageant contestants on April 15th from 10-4.

If you have any empty 2 liter bottles that you would be willing to donate, please turn them into B17, Ms. Wilgus’ Room. We are making goodie baskets for the relief nursery.

Churchill Cheer

Today is the day! If you are interested in being a Churchill cheerleader, come to the mandatory pre tryout meeting tonight in the cafeteria from 6-8 pm.

Community Service

Need community service hours?  Volunteering at the Friends of the Eugene Public Library Book Sale is a great way to get those hours.  This year’s sale is  April 7,8 & 9.  For more information come to the College and Career Center, watch for posters around campus or visit the Friends of the Eugene Public Library Web site.

McCornack Popcorn ~ Help is needed on April 7th to make/hand out popcorn at McCornack Elementary from 8- 10 am on Friday morning.  For more information come to the College and Career Center and check out the opportunities board.

Princess for a Day ~ Help is needed on April 8th and/or 9th helping to make food and prepare for princess ball on Sat. and help set up Valley River on Sunday.  There is no better way to start your Saturday/Sunday than by helping foster kids in need. Leadership

Churchill’s first annual clothing drive is this week. Bring your new or gently used clothes to Room B17 or the front office. Include your name with your donation to receive tickets to be entered into a raffle to win sweet prizes.
