After School Homework/Study Club

Starting this trimester there will be a supervised after school study club where students can get a snack, work on homework, and have opportunities to receive help and support from a staff member. This club/group meets in F43 everyday after school from 3:30 – 4:30pm. Students are welcome to attend any day or everyday. All students are invited to take advantage of this great opportunity to stay up on your course work and seek support as needed.

JV Football Players

If you DID NOT dress down for the playoffs, there will be an after school pizza party for you in the cafeteria on Thursday, December 7th. Please attend this event to celebrate your season and to learn about off-season expectations. See you there. Go Lancers!

Oregon Battle of the Books

OBOB practice is happening tomorrow during lunch in room G27, next to the library.

Bus Passes

December Bus Passes are available in the finance office.


It’s not too late to order your cap and gown for graduation. Miners will continue to accept orders at or pick up an order sheet in the front office. Order soon to make sure you get the size and color you need.

Senior pictures are due to Yearbook the last day before Winter Break, December 15. Submission information is available in the office.

Attention Lancer Freshmen

The Lancer program is conducting an informational meeting today to explain more on how to become a coordinator for the program. If you would like more information on how to be a part of our school’s single largest community fundraiser, come today at lunch to Rm B17. This is a very special event that was started by students, organized by students, participated by students, to benefit students. Any questions see Ms Wilgus in B17.

Women in Science & Engineering

WISE invites all students to come to the STEM conference room and hear our Thursday lunch guest speaker, Rick, a self-taught astrophysicist enthusiast that has established a K-12 outreach program throughout Oregon. He’s had funding from NASA’s Oregon Space Grant and the University of Oregon to develop these programs. Mr. Kang has been a tour guide at the Pine Mountain Observatory for more than a decade. Come learn about the varied careers available in astro sciences.

Apprenticeships in Science and Engineering

An information meeting for those interested in participating in the Apprenticeships in Science and Engineering program will be at South Eugene High School: Tuesday, December 12th at 7:00 pm. ASE is a high-school internship program for highly motivated students interested in going into science, technology, engineering, medicine, or mathematics-related careers.  Go to Saturday for more information. This program is available to students in grades 9-11 only.

Wednesday: Wrestling at North Eugene: JV 6pm/Varsity 7pm: No early release

Friday: Boys Basketball at Dallas: 5:15/7pm: Release at 2:15;  Swim vs. Thurston at Willamalane at 4pm: Release at 2:15pm

Saturday: Wrestling at Springfield Tournament
