Senior Meeting during Forecasting Assembly

During tomorrow’s Forecasting Assembly, seniors will meet in the cafeteria for a mandatory senior meeting. Depending on their 2nd-period teacher, seniors will attend the meeting with Group A or Group B. The assembly schedule is HERE and will be available in the front office tomorrow morning.

Graduation Information Night

Graduation Information Night for parents and students is on April 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Churchill Cafeteria. We will discuss and answer questions about graduation requirements, ticket distribution, auditions, seating and walking partner signup, graduation ceremony dress code, and more.

The Graduation Checklist

The Graduation Checklist is now posted on the graduation website at and in the front office, or click HERE. The counselors are busy making schedule corrections for Term 3 and processing Term 2 grades. The “Number of Credits” column will be updated as they confirm graduation eligibility for all seniors and early graduates. Some students may not see a change in this column until after midterm grades.

To protect student privacy, the checklist is published with student numbers, rather than names. You can find your student number on your most recent report card. In ParentVUE or StudentVUE, go to the Report Card tab and click the link that says “Click here to view report card […].”

A check mark means that your requirements for that column are complete. Incomplete requirements will have a note indicating who can help you finalize that requirement.

Graduation Performer Auditions

Audition sign-ups and rules are now posted in the front office. Any senior who wishes to perform or give a speech at graduation must audition.

  • Performers must be cleared to graduate.
  • Audition material must be three minutes or less.
  • Audition material must be school-appropriate.
  • Performers must be performance-ready at the audition. This means memorized or with note cards and you should bring your accompanist, props, or other special equipment with you to the audition.
  • Bring three copies of your speech, poem, music, script, etc. to give to the judges.
  • Up to two friends will be allowed into the auditorium during your audition.

Cap and Gown

If you have not ordered your cap and gown, please contact Miners Graduate Services as soon as possible. Prices have gone up, but you may still order. Call 541-689-4588 or visit Churchill keeps a limited supply of gowns for students on free and reduced lunch to borrow for graduation. Check with Jill in the front office if you need to borrow a cap and gown.

Ticket Distribution

Tickets will be available for graduating students at the front office during student lunch starting on May 14. The Hult Center requires a ticket for every person who enters the concert hall, including infants. Tickets will be free to all graduating students. Each student will receive six reserved tickets: two tickets in the orchestra section (main floor), the remaining four in the orchestra or mezzanine (second floor) as available. Students may request additional tickets until they are sold out. Any student who requests more than 14 tickets must bring a note from a parent/guardian. Any reserved tickets remaining will be released for distribution at graduation rehearsal and in the Hult Center lobby, half an hour before the ceremony begins.
