March is Women’s “Her-story” Month
Today we celebrate Rachel Carson, an American biologist and environmentalist who wrote the groundbreaking novel Silent Spring which changed the way people used pesticides. Even though she received terrible attacks from chemical companies, she kept spreading the message against harmful chemicals. After she died, she was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
This Women in STEM series is brought to you by the WISE club – Women in Science & Engineering.
Sources of Strength
Come join us today at the planters during lunch and celebrate your Sources of Strength. Today’s focus is on Generosity.
