Peacehealth Mentorship: Attention Sophomores!

Are you interested in a career in medicine and want to gain experience and money for your post high school education? Consider applying for the PeaceHealth Youth Mentorship Program! This is a wonderful opportunity for students. Two Churchill sophomores will be chosen for this unique 2-year opportunity. Students must have limited financial means for education or training beyond high school, and meet some other criteria. Contact Meredith Shepard in the Registrar’s office for applications and additional information. Applications will be available around the first of March.

LEAP

All seniors must complete a LEAP (Lancer Extended Application Packet) to fulfill the new state career related graduation requirements. Students should meet with their staff advisor and complete this activity as soon as possible. See Betsy in the Career Center for additional information.

Many Seniors have NOT completed the 60 hour community service requirement for graduation. Hours should be turned in to the Career Center ASAP!

Financial Aid

It is time to file the FAFSA, Free Application for Federal Student Aid! The FAFSA is the only way to qualify for federal financial aid and needs to be filed as soon as possible. It is also a requirement for several other scholarships so pick up a form in the Career Center or go online at www.fafsa.ed.gov today!

Juniors

The Junior Project

Juniors should have finished the Junior Project in January. If you missed this valuable project, stop by the Career Center today! Completion of the Junior Project is a graduation requirement for the Class of 2008.

Juniors, dust off your resumes and consider applying for the Rotary Youth Leadership Camp. Watch the bulletin boards for additional information.
