Beauty of Blackness Assembly/Presentation
-
Today, Thursday, April 7th, there is a sign-up-to-attend
assembly during 8th period for our BSU to hold their Beauty
of Blackness presentation. Teachers, if you would like to bring
your class, please sign up with Corey Chambers asap.
-
BSU will also present Beauty of Blackness to
the CHS community this Friday, April 8th, in the Auditorium,
in the evening.
April 8th Inservice Day
-
Friday, April 8th is a no-school day for Staff
Development and Mid-Term Grades. The first half of the day is
for staff inservice (all staff should attend our staff meeting
in the library from 8:00-11:30am). The second half of the day
is for grading. Semester grades will be entered by teachers
in ESIS. All grades need to be entered by Tuesday, April 12th.
If you have any questions about this process, please check with
MaryAnn.
May/June Newsletter
-
Don't forget! If you have articles you want
to get in the LAST 04-05 school year newsletter, the May/June
issue, please email them to Karla by next Wednesday, April 13th.
Also, if you are having student presentations or anything special
going on in your classrooms, please let Karla know so she can
come take photos.
Mr. Lancer Pageant
-
Our 12th annual Mr. Lancer Pageant takes place
next Wednesday, April 13th at 7:00pm in the Auditorium. It will
be a night of fun and laughter. The contestants have been busy
raising money from throughout the community and sending letters
to friends and family asking for their support. All the proceeds
from their efforts, as well as the night of the pageant, go
directly to the Kids Helping Kids. When all is complete, and
the points have been added, a new Mr. Lancer 2005 will be crowned.
For tickets or more information, contact Cindy Wilgus.
Late Starts - April
Field Trip/Class Excuse Notices
-
Just a reminder that notices about field trips
and class excuses must be emailed to staff PRIOR to the class
day before the field trip absence. For example, if the absence
will happen on Wednesday (a blue day), the email notice of the
field trip or class excuse should be received by the teacher
before Monday (a blue day). If you have questions, see me.
Have a great week!
