Staff Elections/Nominations
- If you are interested in running for one of our three open Certified
Site Council positions, and/or the Staff President, Process Advocate,
Technology Rep and Operations Rep positions, please turn your
name in
to Karla by 3:15pm TOMORROW Wednesday, June 1st. We especially
need
more nominations for the Tech Rep, Operations Rep and Site Council
Rep
positions. If you are interested, please let Karla know today
or
tomorrow. Elections will be Thursday and Friday, June 2nd &
3rd.
Remember that if you are going to nominate someone else, please
get
their permission first.
Attention Curriculum Reps!
- Our late start last week was for curriculum areas to vote on
Curriculum
Council Representative(s) for the 2005-06 school year. The deadline
for
current Curriculum Council Representative in each area to let
Karla
know who the elected representative will be for next year was
Friday,
May 27th. Please email these to Karla today. Thank you to PE,
Art and
the Library for already getting theirs in!
These curriculum area reps are needed:
- Langage Arts
- Social Studies
- Science
- Music
- Family Studies/Health
- Math
- Second Languages
- Computer Instruction/Lancer Communications
- Rachel Carson
- Special Ed
June Late Start
- We have one more late start this school year, tomorrow, Wednesday,
June
1st. It will be held out at the Alternative School and will be
our last
Staff Meeting of the year -- at 7:45am.
Awards Night
- Our Awards Night is tomorrow, Wednesday, June 1st. This is a
night to
honor many of our outstanding students. Thank you in advance to
those
of you who are presenting awards. If you are not presenting, I
would
encourage you, if you have some time that night, to come and be
there
to support our students.
Band & Choir Concerts
- This Thursday, June 2nd, our Band will be performing their year-end
concert at 7:30pm in the Auditorium. I encourage you to come support
our wonderful student-musicians. The Kennedy Middle School bands
will
be their "opening act", performing beforehand from 6:00-7:30.
- Next Tuesday, June 7th, is the year-end Choir concert at 7:30pm
in the
Auditorium. Another great chance to listen to and support our
musicians!
Aloha Dance
- Chaperones are still needed for the annual Aloha dance. Please
let
Cindy or Cindy know if you are interested in helping out. The
dance is
this Friday, June 3rd.
Baccalaureate
- Baccalaureate is Wednesday, June 8th at 7:00pm in the Auditorium.
This
is a chance for staff members to celebrate this graduation with
our
Seniors.
Graduation
- If you are interested in helping out at graduation, being a
line
leader, etc., please let me know ASAP. We will provide sub time
for
practice for those who choose to be involved. Also, for ALL staff
interested in attending graduation, you will need a ticket. Please
let
me know if you would like to attend -- this includes those helping
with
graduation.
Alternative School Graduation
- Alternative School graduation is Saturday, June 11th. This too
is a
wonderful event to honor our Alternative School seniors.
Staff Appreciation Breakfast
- Our wonderful parents will be providing staff with breakfast
on
Thursday, June 16th, at 9:00am in the Cafeteria. We will also
be
honoring our retirees and student teachers at that time.
Staff Golf Tournament
- We will have our 8th Annual Churchill Staff Golf Tournament
on
Thursday, June 16th at Laurelwood Golf Course. Following the
tournament, we will have a staff social in the banquet room at
Laurelwood. Team signup forms were in your mailboxes this week.
