Dessert Competition Winner!
Last week, we held our first staff dessert competition!
Congratulations
to Darcey Huelsman who was the winner, with her peanut butter
pie! She
won a $10 Safeway gift certificate. It was a very delicious
event! We
have had requests to have another competition after the holidays,
when
"
things" are less busy, so look for the announcement in
a future staff
bulletin. Progress Reports/Early Release
- We will have an early release this Friday, December
10th, for teachers
to complete progress reports. They need to be input by the
end of the
day on Monday, December 13th.
Secret
Santas
- Participating staff members will be participating
in Secret
Santa
activities next week, December 13-17th. If you have any
questions, see
Karla.

ALERT! ALERT! TIME IS RUNNING OUT! ****
- Staff Holiday Party
OUR STAFF HOLIDAY PARTY IS NEXT WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 15th,
from 4-6pm!
PLEASE RSVP TO KARLA BY MONDAY, DECEMBER 13TH! We would like
to see all
of you there! This year we are hosting the party at Game
Day in the
Gilbert Shopping Center on Highway 99 (next to Putter's Mini-Golf).
There will be hors d'oeuvres, a no-host bar, and a fun, light-hearted
white elephant gift exchange for those interested in participating
($5
max). All this for $5/person! If staff members pay their
staff dues,
they get in free!
Holiday
Concerts
- Our outstanding musicians here at Churchill
are performing
in holiday
concerts in December. The Band's performance is tonight,
Thursday,
December 9th from 7-8:30pm and Choir is performing next
Thursday,
December 16th from 7:30-9pm. Both concerts are in the Auditorium.
If
you are available, come hear our outstanding musicians.
December 15th Late Start (Brief Staff Meeting & Curriculum
Area
Meetings)
- During the second late start of the month,
Wednesday, December 15th,
Curriculum Areas will meet and begin discussing budget requests.
We
will also have a brief staff meeting, starting at 7:45 sharp,
in the
library as Helen and I need to meet with the whole staff
to get some
feedback regarding a grant opportunity. We hope to have you
all out and
off to your area meetings by 8:15. Thanks!
Christmas Tree Sale
- The Band department's
annual Christmas Tree Sale is happening again
this year. It has been so popular, they have needed to
get MORE trees!
The sale will go until they run out of trees again, probably
by Winter
Break. Hours are from 3:30pm - 8pm weekdays, 10am-8pm Saturdays,
