Operations Minutes: Feburary 7, 2005

New Business

Students Tyler Wood and Matt Dolfe came to Operations to request a change in policy to allow Freshmen to leave for lunch and have off-campus privileges.They are actually requesting permission to circulate a petition to change the policy to allow the freshmen to leave during 2nd semester only. Several people had questions of the boys. Cindy recalled that this was also discussed last year and it was not changed because of enforcement issues and lack of proximity to businesses.

No Mr. Lancer competition with North on 2/27; Mr. Lancer basketball has been moved to March 7 vs. North at home.
Cindy asked about chaperones for Winter Formal.
Further discussion came up about using the halls as a place for dances as we discussed the dance coming up on March 11. A change in time to 8:30 to 10:30 was approved.
First Big Leadership was Thursday; Winter Fest is going on this week. Geography Club was selling root beer floats.

Staff meeting agenda was reviewed and approved. This will be e-mailed to staff.
Karla brought up another factor regarding the parking problem. We have had requests for visitor and/or staff parking. Cindy raised the issue of enforcement and the difficulty of assigning staff to a specific area. We talked about staff /visitor spaces in the front area. This conversation will continue.
