Minutes:

Overview from last meeting discussed — Curriculum assemblies canceled and Beauty of Blackness presentation schedule…

Leadership:

Working on a retreat/activity for Executive Leadership.
Leadership discussed Human Rights Day and thought it was good. They were concerned about numbers of kids in attendance and would like to work to find a way to improve that for next year.

Staff Concerns:

• Concerns have been raised regarding staff not adhering to the dog “policy” we have. Dennis will discuss with those involved.
• Concerns have been raised regarding teacher-coaches scheduling practices and team functions during inservice days, staff meetings and other times when they are “on the clock” This is being abused by some and the policy surrounding this should be announced or reviewed.
• Concerns have been raised regarding coaches requesting their student-athletes schedule doctor and other appointments during school hours, and not after school, so they will not miss practices/games. We feel it should be reiterated to our student-athletes that school is first priority.

The Smaller Schools grant option was discussed.
Just an FYI… parking was NOT discussed. ?
