Old Business
- Teachers Please Read and Respond to Dennis or Cindy ASAP 45
minute Drinking and Driving Assembly. Operation members feel it
is important for all juniors and seniors to have the opportunity
to attend an assembly dealing with drinking and driving before
prom. We came up with a proposal but would like your feedback
as well.
- When: May 17, 2005 2nd period.
Who: All juniors and seniors.
Students would report to class then be excused for assembly. Teachers
could either keep their students who are not juniors or seniors
or send them to the assembly. After the 45-minute assembly, students
return to class. Calendar was discussed. First semester will end
on a Red day and second semester will begin on a Blue day.
Parking
- Concerns about even less parking once construction begins. One
suggestion, call Willamette to find out what their policy is.
Also get the City involved in monitoring some of the parking problems.
Another idea is to have a first-come first-serve policy. In this
scenario, no lots would be reserved for upper classmen and only
illegal (i.e. handicapped) parking would be ticketed.
Leadership
- Springfest the week of the 16th.
- Aloha Dance is June 3rd from 8:30 to 10:30. Chaperones still
needed.
- Security and a D.J. have been ordered.
- May 12th is a 30-minute pep assembly schedule for class elections
and a senior meeting at the Rock.
New Business
- There was a concern about how kids were notified for ASB elections.
- Students continue to sit on planter by science wing. Inconsistent
enforcement. Halls are still too noisy and too many kids are out
there during classes. Could there be a policy for next fall of
no kids in the halls during class? Students should be in cafeteria,
library or outside.
