- Key Club presented on Relay for Life. There is a concern that
the
school community has not embraced it and there is a question about
how
to move forward from here. One suggestion is to scale down the
size of
the event.
Purposed Changes:
Time: 2:30 - 5:30 instead of until 10:00.
Dinner would not be served.
Key Club organizers are going to have another meeting this week
to
make a final decision.
Leadership:
- May 12th is a 30-minute pep assembly schedule for class elections
and
a senior meeting.
These are mandatory assemblies; teachers please walk your first
period
classes to their appropriate location.
The Assemblies begin at 9:45
Freshmen - Auditorium
Sophomores - Cafeteria
Juniors - Gym
Seniors - Gym (or by the ROCK)
- Drinking and Driving Assembly is not an assembly schedule!
When: May 17, 2005 2nd period at 10:00-10:45
Who: All juniors and seniors
Students report to class then please excuse them for assembly.
Teachers with mixed classes may either keep their students who
are not
juniors or seniors or send them to the assembly. After the 45-minute
assembly, students return to class. Please take attendance at
the
beginning of the period and at the end.
- Springfest is the week of the 16th.
Spirit Week;
Monday - Black and White Day
Tuesday- Famous Person/ Super Hero Day
Wednesday - 80's Day
Thursday - CHS Day
Friday - Aloha/Beach Day
- Evening Talent Show has been cancelled.
Monday, May 16th, the talent will be shown by the rock at lunch.
- Aloha Dance is June 3rd from 8:30 to 10:30. Chaperones still
needed.
Security and a D.J. have been ordered.
- May 19th is the last Pep assembly. It will be a 30-minute assembly
schedule.
New Business:
- Staff meeting agenda for Wednesday, May 11th was discussed
and
approved.
- Hawaii Visit! No, we're not going; they are coming here on Thursday,
the 12th. The Hawaii Small Learning Community Consortium will
be
visiting Churchill. Tom Horn has organized a schedule. They may
be
visiting your classes. If you have questions, please contact Tom.
- Building Construction - New science wing construction is about
to
start. No classrooms will be moved at this time.
