Minutes Operations: October 11, 2004

Doug Kelly addressed the false alarm that occured last week,
this was a machine malfunction not human error. We are looking
into our system to see what may have caused it. Office was not
aware of the malfunction until after announcements started, because
they did not here it up there. They are sorry for any inconvenience
this may have caused. A group of people will be meeting oct.
12th with the district to look at CHS general safety plan.
Leadership:
Homecoming nominations will take place during 6th period on
Oct. 19th. Leadership will run these, but teachers will be emailed
a copy of the expectations/rules.
Voting for homecoming will occur during 2nd period Oct. 26th.
Spirit week Oct 25-29th
- Monday - wacky days
- Tuesday - Tie die/ Tie day
- Wednesday - Costume Day
- Thursday - Twin Day
- Friday - CHS Day
Sheldon exchange with leadership has been changed to sometime
in November.
Old Business:
- White Day - We need a committee of volenteers to come up
with possible activities other than our regular schedule, Please
let Dennis know if you're intrested in serving on this committee.
- Open House - check box for schedule or see email from Dennis.
Classes start at 6:30 for parents and are 12 minutes long with
a 5 minute passing period. Don't forget snacks afterwards across
the street.
- We are still looking into some options to stop skateboarding
on campus.
New Business:
- Science given permission to release students with assignments
for National Science Conference on Nov 19th.
- Math given permission also for alignment.
- Freshman Reading test taking place in select Language Arts
classes this week, you know who you are.
- Flyers - please be careful about handing out too many flyers
the custodians are picking them up like crazy. Remeber flyers
must be handed out at school and be sure to tape flyers to
inside of windows so they don't just blow away.
- Staff T-Shirts- do we really want them or need them? Survey
to come....
- Cindy is working on an accurate club list - so please email
her or give her a note if you are helping with any clubs and
when and where they meet.
