Minutes
- The minutes from last meeting were reviewed.
There is new furniture in the student lounge area and it will
be
painted red and blue.
- French club is selling baclava during lunch.
- LSU dance on 1/14.
- Buddy is not sure why the PA system is loud in some areas and
not in
others and is looking into this.
Parking
- Todd has been issuing some warnings and tickets to cars with
no tags. (ticket prices: $75 for parking in a handicapped spot,
$45
for parking by a yellow curb, $20 for parking in the wrong lot,
$20 for
no tag). Should we change the ticket process? Warning to students:
When we return from break we will be stepping up the ticket issuance.
We still have the problem with parents turning around in the south
lot
when dropping off students in the AM. It is also problematic at
the
end of the day in front of the school. Dennis will talk to Todd
about
ideas for solving the problems.
Leadership
- Mr. Lancer voting will be on 1/11 during lunch in the auditorium
and
1/12-1/14 in the student lounge area. Mr. Lancer candidates are
screened by Cindy Wilgus.
- A pep assembly on 1/14 was approved.
- Winter formal will be on 2/12. Theme: Salsa (approved)
- Winter Fest was approved for 2/7-2/11. Bands will play during
lunch
and for will be for sale outside under the covered area between
the
library and office.
Old Business
- Human Rights Day is still in the works. The next
committee meeting is 1/4.
New Business
- The Science Dept. wants to have a recycling assembly put
on by a group who tours around to various schools on 1/31 from
10am-12pm. This is the 1st day of the new semester. Dennis will
get
more info. on this and possibly look into other options as far
as dates
and times go.
