Right feedback from teachers students are excited about
the program. Wooo hooo!

The new 9th grade transition model (including
administrators
in the mix) this year is going well and meeting with success.
Open House
-
This is happening October 12 (next week). It begins
at 6:30!

Reminders have been sent to parents

Parent schedules will
be sent home with students

Will be similar to last year

Future issues:
a. Often times there is a game in the gym, so it is confusing to
parents about where PE classes meet to talk about students
EEF Grants
-
Two grants were submitted, so both have been forwarded
at their requested funding levels: “Language Proficiency
Just Press Play” by Alicia Newton-Hamill and “Rubber
Boots for Science Field Work.” By

Talked about why so few grants were submitted (new
staff members, too little time, less administrator assistance
than previous years) and brainstormed possibilities for
supporting staff in this endeavor.

take time to
discuss and brainstorm ideas
SIP (School Improvement Plan)

literacy and instructional
strategy focus while adding the goal of crafting vision statement
for
CHS)

Goal - break up into groups (Literacy / Instructional
Strategies / Vision - Mission Statement) to talk about these
three
goals to plan activities for this year
