OPEN AGENDA;

EEF grants need to be submitted electronically (new rule
this year.) We delivered a hard copy to the EEF for Jean Ella's request
for boots and it was not accepted because not filed via computer. It
was decided that if your grant gets approved it is up to the person who
wants the grant to get it filed.
Wes responded to a sign that was posted by a student saying
"Churchill is losing its brightness." Administration tried to find
out who wrote and posted it but was unsuccessful. We had an idea to
get student leadership to hand out a student climate questionaire or at
least discuss at a leadership meeting.
Dennis discussed the crosswalk update. No new news on
changing the situation at the southeast crosswalk going over to Abby's. We
will continue to look into it.
Doug Kelley reported that some Russian teachers are coming
to visit CHS on Nov. 10 from 9-11 am. The teachers are especially
interested in sports, art, and music. See Doug for more info.
A concern about low participation at open house was
discussed. How can we get more parents to come. Ideas were bounced around but
nothing solved. We will continue to look for ways to increase attendance without a prohibitive cost.

SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PLAN

Dennis gave us a draft of the school improvement plan for the
next 3 years. This draft will be passed out to staff for their perusal.

There was a discussion of setting up a day to hammer out a vision
statement for CHS (perhaps a school improvement day) but no dates
were set.
