Open Agenda

Student Climate: leadership has discussed this and took a survey. Will share notes and survey at next site council meeting
Parking: issue brought up of sophomores having to park on the street. This is due to lack of spaces in parking lot.
School Improvement Plan: revised plan with correct dates sent to staff from Dennis via e-mail so staff can look it over prior to Staff Meeting Dec 1. We hope to be able to possibly vote on this plan at the meeting, however, it may be delayed if the staff is not in favor. Will need 2/3 vote.

Futures Committee

Dennis handed out a three page diagram of

1) our decision making model,
2) Current Teaching and Learning Paradigm
3) a revision of how the Current Teaching and Learning Paradigm should look like (flip flop order).

Will share this at next staff meeting and look at a timeline. Discussed using Michelle Swanson as consultant using in-service days and some staff meetings, forming a steering committee of volunteers, assess where we are.

Dennis also shared information on some grants available with the Gates Foundation regarding small learning communities (schools within schools like North Eugene is doing). Helen, Dennis, Anna Lee Beephan and a District representative will be attending a two-day conference on this topic Thursday and Friday.
