Dennis still hopes to make some copies of Breaking Ranks for Site Council to discuss prior to the next meeting.
Crosswalk update: We are taking more data on the crossing numbers at lunch. We are also getting complaints about unsafe crossing on 18th.

Small Schools & Preliminary Discussion
of the SIP & What's Next
Dennis shared information on the small schools meeting through the Gates Foundation. Helen, Dennis, and Anna Lee Beephan attended with Samfrom the District.
Anna Lee represented the school well and she was the only student at the event. She also chastised Dennis as she gave her summary of the event (smile).
Helen discussed the personalization focus of the meeting. It was important for us to attend because it keeps us "in the ball game" if we want to go further with the grant process.
Dennis wonders about next steps and he thinks we should consider applying with a recognition that the grant could be too restrictive.
We discussed the potential for moving forward but trying to get a read of the overall CHS community pulse regarding the Gates vision. We need a wide spectrum of involvement if we go forward in the process. We are wondering about how to do this efficiently in the upcoming month(s).
Dennis and Helen will go to Curric. Council on Weds. December 8th and ask for permission to speak with Curric. Areas on the Dec. 15th. SIP Discussion of feedback from 12/1/04 staff meeting not done yet. (next time?)
